Welcome to the 2025 Maine-Anjou & Chianina National Junior Heifer Show
“FEELIN' LUCKY IN KENTUCKY"
 
Thank you for your interest in participating and exhibiting at the annual Junior National – a week filled with plenty of fun! Below are some tips and housekeeping items that you need to know before entering. Please read the information below carefully before beginning.

IMPORTANT ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS!!!
    • All entries for the 2025 National Junior Heifer Show must be submitted online using this form.
    • The ownership deadline for all entries is May 1, 2025.
    • Early entries are due May 1, 2025 by 11:59 p.m. CST.
    • Late entries will be accepted until May 9, 2025 by 11:59 p.m. CST with increased entry fee.
    • Exhibitors must be a current AJMAA and/or AJCA member to show at the 2025 National Junior Heifer Show. Dues can be paid on the entry form if you have not paid 2025 dues prior to entering.
    • If you want to enter an animal in BOTH the Chi & Maine shows, please select the “Enter Animal in BOTH Chi & Maine Shows” Division. This will enter an animal in BOTH breed shows at the same time.
    • Bedding fees included in entry fee.
    • Entry & bedding fees are non-refundable.
 
IMPORTANT SHOWORKS TIPS
    • Click sign in at the top right. Note: If you do not have a Passport, you will need to create a new log in this year (they are not saved from year to year.)
    • Choose your type.
        • Exhibitor – Select if you are only making entries for one exhibitor.
        • Quick Group – Select if you are creating entries for multiple family members.
        • Passport – Select if you have an existing ShoWorks Passport OR would like to create one.
        • ****NOTE: We suggest creating a ShoWorks Passport so you can access your entries again if needed.*****
    • PASSPORT USERS –
        • If you have selected Passport, you will be given the option to log in or create a new Passport.
        • Sign in to your Passport and ensure all information is correct.
        • Select Home at the top right of the page, then Sign in, then Exhibitor and your information should automatically fill in.
    • NON-PASSPORT USERS -
        • Log-ins are not saved year to year.
        • After selecting Exhibitor or Quick Group, fill in exhibitor’s first and last name or a Group User Name and select if this if your first time logging into ShoWorks in 2025.
    • Continue through the entry form to complete your entries.
    • Exhibitor birthdate is required.
 
CONTEST INFORMATION
    • Contest Age Divisions – Age divisions are determined by age on Jan. 1, 2025. You must have a birthdate AFTER January 1, 2003 to be eligible for the 2025 show.
        • Rookie: 4-8 years of age
        • Junior: 9-12 years of age
        • Intermediate: 13-16 years of age
        • Senior: 17-22 years of age
    • Public Speaking, Salesmanship, Quiz Bowl & Team Fitting
        • Sign up during check-in at the show.
    • Livestock Judging –
        • Exhibitors do not need to pre-enter livestock judging.
        • Exhibitors automatically entered in judging.
        • The judging scantrons will be handed out prior to the contest by state advisors.
    • Showmanship
        • Enter contest on ShoWorks.
        • Select the Showmanship Division, then the correct class.
        • You may enter an individual breed showmanship contest, or select the class BOTH Breeds Showmanship to enter both breeds at once.  
            • Note special showmanship eligibility rules in the Exhibitor Handbook
 
LITTLES PARTICIPANTS
    • On the entries page select Littles Activity and complete information as requested.  
        • If the Little is exhibiting cattle, you can add the Littles Activity to their entry. Do not complete a separate entry.  
        • If your little is NOT exhibiting cattle, please complete a separate entry form for them.  
    • Please DO NOT add a sibling Littles Activity to another siblings entry.
    • Please put the Littles FIRST & LAST Name in Little Participant box.
 
DODGEBALL INFO
    • If you plan to participate in the dodgeball activity, please click the Dodgeball Player toggle on the entry form. This will only be used for t-shirt information and does not officially sign you up.
    • Official sign up will be at the show during check-in.
 
 STALLING REQUESTS –
    • Please include any stalling requests you have here.
    • Stalling requests will be accommodated as best we can.
    • Stalling in the barn is by state.  
    • List specific members of your state that you would like to stall beside, or names of exhibitors traveling together, etc.
    • If you plan to stall with another state, include that here and any specific requests.
